Owner and Speech/Language Pathologist
Laura Darling, CCC-SLP- is the primary therapist and founder of KidSpeak Language Learning Services, LLC. She holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders, both from the University of New Hampshire. Licensed by the State of New Hampshire and Certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), she specializes in the speech and language disorders of children and young adults ranging from early childhood to high school and transition into their community.
Laura has been a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association for over 15 years. She has served as President of the New Hampshire Speech-Language Hearing Association, and as Vice President of Governmental Affairs. Laura has chaired committees within the Department of Education to develop regulations toward improving the quality of speech-language personal certified by the Department of Education. Laura has also been instrumental in the legislative process toward licensing speech assistants and is currently serving on the State of New Hampshire Licensing Board of Speech Pathology per appointment by Governor Lynch and the Executive Council.
Laura’s previous experience prior to opening her private practice has been in the public schools, adult inpatient rehabilitation, residentially based programs, and home based therapy for birth to three year old children for early intervention. Laura belongs to ASHA Special Interest Divisions; Language Learning Services and Speech Language Services in Schools.
In her free time, Laura enjoys kayaking, cross country skiing and downhill skiing.
